This cache is along the Conestoga Trail. It is up and down and a 3 to 4 mile hike depending on your route. Bring water.
It is also slightly (SLIGHTLY = maybe 10 feet) downhill from the trail (river side of trail) in a somewhat flat area, There are logs and rocks right there. In June, it was not treacherous. There's a reasonable approach. Search with your eyes. It's a non-camoed teal-topped peanut butter jar tucked between some rocks to be secure and covered by a small log and a nice chunk of bark you can easily see from the trail. Search with your eyes from the trail and plan your approach. Cover it reasonably.
Note that the Conestoga Trail has been re-routed away from the trail going by this cache. You can take the old trail from Overlooked Overlooks on north to Reed Run stream crossing near the camping area on the south. But the Lancaster Conservancy folks were very good at blacking out the orange and blue blazes.
