When walking out in our harsh Australian enviornment, you must always stay hydrated. We should drink upto 2 litres of water each day, on a journey like this I would take 1-2 litres of water ;)

The area is an old mining area, and some old mineshafts and evidence of sluicing is visible. This location is several hundred metres away from those sites though, but being in the Aussie bush you may run into some of our native animals. And depending on the time of year, there will be a water source nearby, so keep an eye on young ones.
The hide is small in size, enough for a log book, small swaps and a pencil.
