Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden just outside a school opened by my great great great great great uncle in 1878, who taught at the school up until his death in 1887, with his daughter Eliza taking over. The school continued to operate until its closure in 1956.

James Goldsworthy arrived in South Australia in 1864 at age 40, later becoming captain of a South Australian mine in 1866, which would later turn out to be unsuccessful.

My family first came to Australia in 1847, with a majority working in the mines, with most of them residing in Burra, Moonta, Wallaroo, Kadina and Greens Plains West.

There is no need to cross the fence, also keep an eye out for the barbed wire.

This is our first hide so we thought we would make it nice and simple, it is in a plastic container.

**Please take care when approaching the cache as there are sometimes unseen ditches in the ground and I don't want anyone to injure an ankle. **
