The cache is not at the posted coordinates

As I was looking through my cache logs recently, I saw that a cache near here got archived last summer after several DNF's and no response from the CO. Having been one to DNF the cache on my first try due to bad coordinates before eventually finding it on a return visit, I wondered if there was a chance that the original cache container was still up there. I thought if it had just been missed by the last few people looking for it, I could maybe score a free ammo can—to rehide as a new cache of course!
When I went to check on it, I was surprised by how different the hillside looked since my last visit almost three years ago. For some reason, I thought I would be able to walk right to the spot where I had managed to find the cache, but it turned out that my memory was not that good. I did a bit of wandering around in circles before finally pulling up the old cache on my phone. I went to the posted coordinates and then to the more helpful coordinates shared in the activity logs. Unfortunately, the ammo can was nowhere to be found.
After determining the ammo can to be lost, I decided to go and explore a little more of an area I had spied while wandering around the cache area. My exploration took me north and east of the old cache location until I found a spot that seemed like a good area to hide a cache. I had come prepared with a container of my own (though not an ammo can, sorry), which I deposited next to a scrub oak tree and a large rock on the mountainside.
To find the cache that I placed, first you'll want to start from the archived cache. See if you can turn up the ammo can that I wasn't able to find. From that point adjust your North coordinate .030 farther North and your West coordinate .022 farther East to find my cache. As mentioned above, it's next to a good size rock at the base of a scrub oak tree.
