Geocache Description:

Conspicuously located on the National Mall. This location is easy to navigate.

Did you know that much of south Washington DC was reclaimed from the Potomic River? Two-hundred year ago, when the city was being constructed, a number of our nations politicians, not so affectionately, referred to the city as, "The Swamp."

The coorinates mark a location that harkens back to those days.

To claim credit for this cache, please answer the following questions.

1. Who's home was this?
2. Approximately when was it constructed?
3. What used to run where Constitution Ave. now is?

Do not post the answers. E-mail them to the profile address.
