This kid friendly cache was placed by 7 year old Lydia who is very proud of her hiding skills. The Otto Nature Preserve is fairly new to Oceana County and is still under development. After you find the cache, take a hike through the woods. The main trail is less than 2 miles long and is a nice easy walk.
From the website: "The Otto Nature Preserve is an 80-acre parcel of land in Benona Township owned and managed by Oceana Conservation District. The property was donated to the district in 2019. Staff and volunteers are currently working to clear trails, install educational and directional signage, install a parking lot, develop a forest management plan, and begin inventorying and monitoring the flora and fauna present on site. The district plans to hold educational events and hikes at the nature preserve including birding field trips, snowshoe hikes, owl prowls, forestry discussions, and more!"
