The clean-up will be from 9:30am-11:30am.
As part of the Fall CITO, this will be a clean-up on the Peace River. There are several islands and estuary areas that we can focus our efforts on. Please bring your own kayak or canoe. If you can't kayak, you can spend time cleaning up Harbor Heights Park. There is a playground, tennis courts, horseshoes and other amenities available.
We will launch from the boat ramp located at the north end of the park near the Harbor Heights Civic Center. This project is in coordination with "Keep Charlotte Beautiful".
Keep Charlotte Beautiful is a proud affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, the nation’s largest volunteer-based community action and education organization. They are proud to be a part of a network of more than 1,200 affiliates and participating organizations engaging individuals to take greater responsibility for improving our community’s environment.
For our CITO - gloves, bags or buckets and grabbers will be provided. Please bring your own water, sun screen and wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
Rumor has it, there may be donuts available to give you that sugar boost of energy!
