Te Rerenga Walking Trail
Sighing Pines 1 and Sighing Pines 2 were archived on 13 October 2013 & 10 July 2021, following harvesting of areas of the Radiata Pine forest. We would like to keep a cache within a short walk from the main carpark... so here is "Sighing Pines 3".
Sighing Pines 3 is one of a number of caches on the 2.5km Te Rerenga Tunnel Track. The loop track is at the TECT All Terrain Park which is situated off State Highway 36 (Pyes Pa Road), a main road link between Tauranga and Rotorua. The park is 29 kms from Tauranga, 30 kms from Te Puke, and 27 kms from Rotorua.
The photo above will assist in locating GZ, which is on the left hand side of the track, when approaching from the carpark. No need to leave the track; and you are looking for a 1500ml round container.
