Chalk downland and grasslands - one of the South Downs habitats
In the chalk downland there are lots of different plants-there are 40 different kinds per square metre! These are the type of plants you can find in the South Downs National park: round headed rampion, orchids, daisies, butter cups, bee orchids and way more interesting plants.
The animals you find in the grasslands are foxes, badgers, dormouse and deer. Let’s talk about foxes. They are very sly and they eat a lot of creatures and their favourite prey is birds. They are very quiet that’s why they get food easily-foxes have really good hearing they can hear every movement it is a very clever animal.
Bugs you can see in the grasslands are: phantom hover fly, wart-biter, ladybirds, ants and grasshoppers. Those are some of the bugs in the grasslands, I expect that you already know that ants make their homes in little hills and on the little hills they drill holes everywhere. Thanks for reading this enjoy the grasslands.
