The cache is not at the posted co-ordinates. You need to run a Whereigo cartridge to find it (details below).
Calshot Marshes
The nature reserve at Calshot is an important habitat for many waders and waterfowl, such as: Wigeon, Teal, Ringed Plover, Grey Plover, Black-tailed Godwit, Redshank, Dunlin, Great Crested Grebe, Gadwall and Shoveler. During the winter months it also has a significant population of Dark Bellied Brent Geese and is considered to be of national significance to each of these species, despite the industrial activity nearby.
These inter-tidal mudflats and salt marsh are formed by sedimentary deposition behind Calshot spit that forms a barrier to seaward. The spit is a natural feature that became more substantial after the Great Storm in 1703 when large quantities of sand and shingle were deposited ashore.
Enjoy a peaceful paddle out in the bay and keep a lookout for the wildlife along the way.

The cache
This Wherigo converts your phone (or some Garmin GPSrs) into a virtual version of the ‘Reverse Cache Box’ which tells you the distance to the cache, but not the bearing.
The cartridge is available to download HERE on the Whereigo.com website. Search for a Whereigo app on the App Store for your phone ('WhereYouGo' is one that works).
Your task is to find the cache by periodically querying your Reverse Cache Box for the distance to the final location. Try to use your Reverse Cache Box as few times as possible. All instructions and necessary information needed to complete the cartridge are contained within it. The cartridge is multi-lingual.
To begin, enter the following three 6-digit codes into your player:
005375
186305
078211
Please do not post photos that would give away the final location.
Important information
This is a ‘T5’ terrain cache and so you will need some form of watercraft to attempt it... be that a canoe, kayak, SUP, dinghy, etc. Allow around an hour for paddling to GZ (checking distance on the way), finding the cache, and back at a leisurely pace.
The cache is in a tidal location with potentially strong currents and wash from large commercial shipping nearby. Not far out from the gravel beach, the bottom is thick mud and silt with submerged obstructions so please don't attempt to wade or swim out to the cache (not least because it's a nature reserve and SSSI, but you're also likely to get seriously stuck). You attempt this cache entirely at your own risk, all skippers are solely responsible for the seaworthiness of their craft and their ability on the water. Wearing a buoyancy aid is highly recommended.
Just a heads up that the whole of the 'bay' pretty much dries at low water to leave large areas of marsh and mudflats. It's highly recommended to time your launch at least an hour before high water. Tide tables can be found HERE which give a rough indication of high water times. You can also check the wind forecast HERE for Calshot. Finally, don't leave it too late after high water to get back to shore, otherwise you might be left high and dry... if it looks tight, head towards the activity centre end as that is where the deeper water is!
