The Brocklesby Hunt, Again : The Two Towers

Hidden in one of the two ivy clad towers...

Welcome one and all to our next series in the Brocklesby forest, placed with the kind permission of The Brocklesby Estate.

All caches are close to the paths. 

PLEASE ENSURE YOU TAKE NOTE OF THE NUMBERS AND LETTERS IN THE LOGS - THESE WILL ALLOW YOU TO FIND THE BONUS CACHES IN EACH FOREST SECTION.

There are lovely areas throughout for picnic stops. Great Limber (halfway round) offers a pub and a shop, plus a really nice picnincky pond too (and some extra caches!)

There are two road sections on this walk, one with caches, one without.

Please follow countryside code and be careful if you choose to do it all at once.

Due to tree cover the coords can be a bit dodge so we have put in very clear hints, this is in order to minimise trampling.

To ensure the longevity of this series the Estate have asked that certain rules be adhered to. These are...

• Caches can only be logged when the estate is open to the public (1st April-31st August). The series will be disabled out of season and the caches stored at Frett towers until caching season next falls.

• There is to be no caching after dark. No torchlight caching.

• The caches have been placed with the environment in mind. There is no need to damage anything to retrieve the caches. All caches are close to the path. There are comprehensive clues if required.

• The route follows the posts with yellow markers on them, this is the public route. Please adhere to all signposts throughout the estate.

Please park at the parking waypoint to begin your wander.

There are refreshments available in Great Limber in the form of a public house and a shop. There are no public toilets on the walk but there are lots of trees 

Due to dense tree cover our coords varied slightly each time we visited. So to ensure minimum damage to the forest our hints are rather comprehensive to compensate for varying coords. Please use them if you need to but the caches should not be too difficult to locate.

Please bring tweezers and a pen.

The Brocklesby Hunt can be completed in one session or can be split into smaller sections if you wish. Each leg will have its own bonus cache. The bonus cache can be found by completing the relevant section and taking note of the letters which appear on the logbook in SOME of the caches.

In each bonus cache will be part coords for 'Bobo's Brocklesby Bonus Bonanza' which you will only be able to find if you have completed the full series.

Sadly Mausoleum Woods is now closed to the public (there are some amazing follies in there) due to anti-social behaviour, littering, graffiti, meh.
