Geocache Description:

A fellow geocacher posted that after years of caching she was about to complete the Mass Challenge of finding a geocache in every town in Massachusetts, but did not see a cache in Sherborn, MA with the level of easy cache she now needs.  I rose to the challenge today!  I live in that part of the state, but all I've ever known about Sherborn, MA is that it's rural and that if you live there, then life has treated you very well indeed.  I also knew that it had very few caches.  Today in driving around town I learned that 99% of its roads are rural, winding, and insanely pastoral and bucolic.  I guarantee that this rusty old guardrail cache will be one of the most beautiful, rustic, and well "georgic" guard rail cache placements you've ever found.  Aside from natural beauty, I picked this spot because there is a very clear and wide gravelled place to pull off safely.  To get back on the road I suggest you drive forward and turn around up ahead at a little canoe/kayak launch along the Charles just ahead on the other side of the road.   It's a nice spot to launch, or there are some trails there.    The cache itself is just big enough for some small swag, and I placed a travel bug.   Happy caching!
