The road through Kingcoed is only really used by locals, and even then it's usually quicker to go via Raglan than to traverse this narrow lane. That's a shame, as it gives some super views west towards the trio of Blorenge, Sugarloaf and Skirrid with Raglan Castle in the middle ground, and a classic central Monmouthshire rolling vista towards the east as well.
The waymarked parking is a gateway from which the westward view can be seen. The cache is a very short walk south along the road.
