Traces of "Balkantourist" 02

Strandzha Huts

During the socialist regime the whole economic sector of tourism had been run and managed by the state. For that reason the State Economic Enterprise (DSP, later State Economic Union - DSO) "Balkantourist" had been created. The enormous enterprise had been central-led according to the governmental plans. That period had its pros and cons, but one thing is for sure - it left remarkable traces as a matter of monuments and in the memories of the people.

These few caches are kind of an attempt to acquaint you with some interesting physical locations, in order to imagine the life back then and sense the spirit of the epoch.

The second one of the series is dedicated to (and hidden at) a former theme restaurant - "Strandzhanski Kolibi" (Strandzha huts). Again, information about its history is really hard to find - eventually in some old publications... I'd be really happy if anyone can add own memories.
