Due to a snafu from headquarters, the General was prematurely recalled state side. Now, happy to report that the general has been redeployed. The encampment has been moved ever so slightly as a "bird colonel" has moved into his previous site. If you found the Rear General before, mission control is allowing you to report to him again and count as a second smiley.
OK.... so in reality, there isn't a rank of "rear general". There is, however, a rear admiral, having a rank equivalent to a Major General in the other Armed Forces. The cache name was used for the spirit of the ultimate word play... a pun or paronomasia
