We recently had a cache titled "Two Slugs Raced Into the Cuckoo's Nest", but after nearly two years of vandalism, and finally, complete destruction of the nest............... we had to archive it. However, we still had a couple of slugs laying around, and a thought or two towards a better container, so we decided to replace the cache! The title for the replacement cache logically followed from the fact that if you are 'racing' into or over a 'Cuckoo's Nest' YOU WILL FALL! Jack Nickolson, who starred in the movie 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", would surely agree with the replacement cache's title.
From the parking coordinates, go to Barrows Road and turn left. Walk a couple of hundred feet to a protected crosswalk and cross Barrows Road. Proceed slightly to your right on a paved path to the coordinates for the trailhead of the unmarked trail on your left. From there it is a short walk to GZ. Caution! This little dirt section of trail can become slicker than "eel snot" when wet! Also, don't go down the slope from GZ.... Nothing down there but busted up timber!
