Yomotogi Inari Shrine was separated and transferred from Shihongi Inari Shrine located at the Jujo Plant of the former Tokyo First Daiichi Arsenal and was the guardian of the Takinogawa Plant.
(Shihongi means four kinds of trees, and the kanji is the same as Yotomogi.)
After the war, the shrine in Takinogawa was called "Yomotogi," using different kanji. Around 1970, the shrine building and some other things from Shihongi Inari Shrine in Jujo were moved to Takinogawa. The original shrine building in Takinogawa is still enshrined in the precincts.
There is a half-moon shaped stone monument in the precinct. It is said to be a memorial to those who died while manufacturing gunpowder for the army in this area.
This monument was made from torn pieces of the pressure wheel of a grinder that grinded the raw materials for gunpowder. Therefore, the monument and the pedestal together form a circle.
This pressure wheel is thought to be the same shape as the one displayed as a monument in Kaga West Park in Itabashi Ward.

この四本木稲荷神社は、旧東京第一陸軍造兵廠の十条工場にあった四本木（しほんぎ＝４種の木）稲荷神社から勧請されたもので、滝野川工場の鎮守でした。
戦後、滝野川では「四本木（しほんぎ）」を「世基祇（よもとぎ）」と呼ぶようになりました。昭和40年代に十条の四本木稲荷神社から社殿などが滝野川に移設されましたが、滝野川の旧社殿も境内に残っています。
境内には半月形の忠魂碑があります。陸軍の火薬製造行程中の殉職者を弔うためのものといわれています。火薬の原料をすりつぶす圧磨機圧輪の断裂したものを転用しているため、碑と台座を合わせると円形になります。この圧輪は、板橋区の加賀西公園に記念碑として展示されているものと同型だそうです。
