Come celebrate the August 24 milestone birthdays of Jerry, Ralph and others, hosted by Ms. Benttandem(Dixie).
August 24 was a notable date. On this day Jerry-.jpeg and Ralph-Mr. Benttandem were born. Jerry is 70, Ralph is 80. No doubt, bells were rang, people danced in the streets and fireworks were exploded. Come to the party for prizes and cake and a grand old time. Of additional note, Pam-Ms. .jpeg and Dixie-Ms. Benttandem were also born on the same day in July. To continue the thread, Graham-son of Team Cull and Richard Henderson-Mr. Jarihend, a old time geocacher, were both born on August 24. Richard and his wife now reside in Florida. Any cachers with this birthday that we missed, please come and we will celebrate your birthday too.
There will be prizes – tools, a bracelet with compass, night time trail markers, unactivated travel bugs, a very small bicycle and pathtags, all to be given away by a drawing. A birthday cake will be there for everyone with a sweet tooth.
The happy event will take place in Evelyn’s Park at the intersection of Bellaire Blvd. and Newcastle St. in Bellaire. The park is on the NE corner. Parking is available just north on Newcastle in the park and in the church parking lots on the south side of Bellaire Blvd. There is an existing cache just across Newcastle from the park. Other caches can be found south on Newcastle or a short ways east in Bellaire. BYO$ for food, soda, beer and wine at Betsy’s in the Park. Happy hour ends at 6 PM so come early for the lower prices. There is nice seating outside under shady trees with plenty of fans.
