Geocache Description:

Twin Bridges is a town in Madison County, Montana due west of Bozeman. It lies at the confluence of the Ruby, Beaverhead and Big Hole Rivers which form the Jefferson River. Twin Bridges is a well-known fly fishing mecca for trout anglers. It is a town of less than 500 residents. It is a beautiful spot nestled in a valley surrounded by the Tobacco Route and Ruby Mountain Ranges. Nearby Bear Gulch is also an historic gold mining town. Donald Rumsfeld, former Secretary of Defense under both Bush Administrations was born in the town. If you have found this cache, you are standing in front of the seat of knowledge for all cities and towns large or small. There is no education like experience, but the knowledge contained in books supports, informs, validates, and enhances all we think we know, and all we do.

Hopefully, you are not just passing through and are able to spend time in the area fishing, hiking, horseback riding or learning more about the rich history of the area. Nearby Sheridan and Virgiinia City offer great places to eat and drink - as well as tremendous history lessons. There are even a few more park-and-grabs along the drive. If you are lucky enough to be here early in the morning or late evening you can catch one of the most beautiful sunrises or sunsets you have ever seen. This is a magical place. I hope you enjoy every minute.

As always - be respectful, aware of your surroundings, bring your own pen, watch for muggles, and above all - HAVE FUN!

Peace, Marie_0317
