The Cache:
The cache is located at the entrance of the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show grounds on the North side of Mercedes. The RGVLS and agricultual exposition began in 1939 and was organized as a project of the Mercedes Chamber of Commerce. It is estimated millions of dollars have been paid to FFA and 4-H ehibitors during the Show's existence. As the show continues to grow each year it now ranks as one of the top ten in the State. The show takes place in the month of March for 10 days with many activities including a parade, rodeos, competitive liestock events, concerts and many other attractions scheduled daily. Parking is available, try to aviod this cache during the 10 day show as there is heavy traffic and plenty of muggles in the area.
