Once you have had a walk through the ancient woodland, part of the rare Temperate Rainforest, and seen the old mine workings from Tudor to Victorian times you come to the end of the woodland paths. At this end of the Woods there are bridleways that lead back to civilisation.
At the corner of the woodland and the start of the bridleway there is an old granite hedge and one fallen and one standing granite gate post.
