Geocache Description:

Peters village history #01

Peters village might be an all new community, but the site comes with a fascinating history.

The coordinates listed will take you to panel 1 of the Peter’s village history trail. All the info needed can be found on this sign, (but the rest of the trail is very interesting and informative if you wish to see them all)

Peters village begins with the production of lime, originally produced as agricultural fertilizer and then for building mortar. The chalk in the North downs and proximity to the adjacent river made this a prime location to meet future demands

Using the information on the sign, work out the co ords for the final

1. Preserved as part of the heritage of Peter’s village this A – B m high buttressed wall.

2. The wall was built to retain the ground where C D beehive lime kilns once stood

3. Kinlns seen from Holborough marshes, circa 19EF

                  N 51° (A)(E).(F)(D)(C)

       E000° ((B+C)-A)(D). (A+B)(D-A)(D-B-A-C)

The final is a short walk away and is a small pot with some room for small swag items and TB's

Thank you and happy caching
