Sunset of the Desert Traditional Cache
longwalker: Since I don't trust my knees enough for even a 300' walk on this terrain, I'm archiving the cache. It had a good run with minimum problems. Maybe someone else can place a cache in the area before the house get there.

This is the first in a series of three caches along the first row of hills in the southwest Las Vegas Valley (It is one of two now that Changing Place has been plundered, only this and Sweet End of Russell remain.)
As with the others, I wanted to share a place or a view that is rapidly changing.
I started jogging to this hillside seven years ago. After passing Rainbow there was nothing but a dirt road and not nearly as much trash. It's not even quite up here anymore, machinery can bee heard all day. At least it's still a great view for being so close in to the edge of town.
4x4 or high clearance isn't needed for the drive to the base of the hill. Others have driven up the road end but I suggest you walk and enjoy the view.
The cache is a small (3.5x10x6.5) ammo can painted black with geocache info on the lid.
This cache was originally Gumby character themed, sorry no Pickles or Blockheads yet. If you don't have Gumby stuff, feel free to leave what ever items you have with you.
