Geocache Description:

Once upon a time, during the Covid-19 pandemic, there was an amazing school media teacher that decided to teach her classes about the joys of geocaching.  The students learned all about how to be responsible geocachers, including the obvious fact that you need to be geocaching with an adult.  Each class got to choose a class pet -- but not a real one.  A cold, metal, flat one.  Also known as a Travel Bug.  The students voted on which animal they wanted to adopt  -- some classes chose a hedgehog, others chose a snake, or a bunny.  Then, their amazing media teacher set the class pets free to explore the world.

Well, these students wanted to see their class pet.  They told their parents where to go look.  And thus began forays into the wonderful fun of geocaching for many families.  We went looking for Niblet at this bridge ...even though there was no cache anywhere on the map.  We were not the only family to do so -- all resulted in the dreaded (yet unofficial) DNF.  Obviously, because there was not even a cache here!!

Maybe it was a case of a missing class pet (and an unpublished cache), or maybe it was (more likely) that something got lost in communication.  Some parents surmised that the media teacher (wisely) put an unofficial cache out for her students to find, while others theorized that the students were just not listening well.  Whatever the reason, these TB pets were never discovered by class parents.  They were, however, dropped at well-frequented caches around the area by the students' media teacher, and from there, were picked up by kind-hearted cachers who helped the pets travel across state lines.

This cache is in honor of the media teacher at Wylie Elementary and Niblet, the TB rabbit class pet that we've had fun watching since its release into the wild.... once we realized where to look (aka NOT at this bridge).

NOTE: Please make sure it is well hidden for the next person!
