A series of caches for the complainers in the world.
This is the second in this series of many to come in Beaconsfield, because the community seems to complain about anything and everything. If you are a member of the local Facebook Page, you would think that nothing positive ever happens in this town, so lets start highlighting some of the highlights.
Corner of O'Neill Road and the Old Princess Highway
- Another notorioulsy bad intersection for many many years, so there was constantly a call for traffic lights to be installed. At least once a week there would be a ''theres another accident post'' followed closely by ''we need traffic lights'', hey thats sounds like #1 in this series.
- Again eventually after many years funding was approved, so then the posts were ''when will they start building the new intersection''.
- Well they finally started road construction, and guess what, Beaconsfield showed itself to really get with the program:-
- They are taking too long
- Traffic management is a nightmare
- Why can't we turn right?
- Why can't we turn left?
- Why is it one lane during construction?
- Why do we need to use May road (Dirt road)?
- They shouldnt reduce it to one lane, it takes me to long to go around
- Is it finished yet
- They stopped work this week (100mm of rain fell) how dare they!!
- They are doing the rail crossing and the freeway, they should have waited with this one.
- The Lollipop lady is grumpy
- The pedestrian crossing is in the wrong spot
- Why did they leave the traffic light poles till last
- To much noise during construction
- There will be to much noise for my house
- Why is the Roundabout so big
- Construction finished
- We have lost parking
- When are they going to turn the lights on
- The speed limit is to low
- When are they going to turn the lights on
- The line markings are wrong
- When are they going to turn the lights on
- When are they going to turn the lights on (massive storms wiped out the Dandenong Ranges, but our lights were more important. LOL)
- Lights get turned on
- The cycle on the lights is to slow
- Why did the lights change when there were no cars there
- The traffic has to stop for the lights (seriously)
- To much noise for my house
- Why does the bus lane get priority
Anyhow this set of lights has been fun to watch go from a complaint on Facebook to more complaints on Facebook.
The day this was finally finished the next question was ''when will the new pub open'', wow the complaints that started from that deserves another cache.
