Here on Prevlaka there is an impressive collection of historical and abandoned military facilities that can be freely visited today.
Only a few tourists and residents still get lost here and admire the beauty and fascination of this peninsula just before the border with Montenegro.
We always like to come here on our travels through Croatia, the idyll and the charm of discovering the old grabs us again and again.
On the way to the Prevlaka peninsula you inevitably pass the Konoba Gusar, the host is nice and hospitable, you can definitely enjoy a cold beer here. A bit before you can rent SUPs and canoes, as well as bikes (at least in the season) and thus explore the peninsula and the coast all around.
You should do that too and allow yourself enough time, it is much too bad for a short stop, because there is a lot to discover here.
The entire peninsula is full of old buildings, there is a fortress at the headland and several large helipads.
Many paths are easy to drive on, some of them are completely overgrown. Here nature has already brought back a lot.
But we recommend you; just explore the peninsula yourself and by the way you can still find this cache.

We chose this building because we had great fun exploring it and there is a lot to discover here.
For security reasons, we did not hide the cache in the building, but in front of it.

A little tip on the side:
You are already at the height of Montenegro and that does not yet belong to the EU, so you have roaming costs if your smartphone automatically selects the network. Selecting the setting manual network and then specifying a Croatian network is a real help here and can save money.

Hier auf Prevlaka befindet sich eine beeindruckende Ansammlung historischer und verlassener Militäranlagen die heute frei besichtigt werden können.
Nur wenige Touristen und Einwohner verirren sich noch hierher und bewundern die Schönheit und Faszination dieser Halbinsel kurz vor der Grenze von Montenegro.
Wir kommen auf unseren Reisen durch Kroatien immer wieder gerne hierher, die Idylle und der Reiz das Alte zu entdecken packt uns immer wieder aufs neue.
Auf dem Weg auf die Halbinsel Prevlaka kommt ihr unweigerlich an der Konoba Gusar vorbei, derWirt ist nett und Gastfreundlich, hier lässt sich auf jeden Fall ein kühles Bier genießen. Ein Stückchen davor könnt ihr SUPs und Kanus, sowie Räder mieten (zumindest in der Saison) und damit die Halbinsel und die Küste rundherum erkunden.
Das solltet ihr auch machen und euch genügend Zeit einplanen, für einen kurzen Stop ist es viel zu schade, denn es gibt hier richtig viel zu entdecken.
Die gesamte Halbinsel steht voller alter Gebäude, es gibt an der Landspitze eine Festung und auch mehrere große Hubschrauberlandeplätze.
Viele Wege sind gut befahrbar, manche schon völlig zugewachsen. Hier hat sich die Natur schon einiges zurück geholt.
Aber wir empfehlen euch; erkundet die Halbinsel einfach selbst und ganz nebenbei könnt ihr noch diesen Cache finden.
Nun zum Cache:
Wir haben uns dieses Gebäude ausgesucht, da es uns riesigen Spaß gemacht hat dieses zu erkunden und hier vieles zu entdecken ist.
Aus Sicherheitsgründen haben wir den Cache nicht im Gebäude versteckt sonder davor.

Ein kleiner Tip am Rande:
Ihr befindet euch hier schon auf höhe Montenegros und das gehört noch nicht zur EU, ihr habt also Roaming Kosten wenn euer Smartphone das Netz automatisch auswählt. Die Einstellung manuelles Netzwerk auswählen und dann ein Kroatisches Netz angeben ist hier eine echte Hilfe und kann bares Geld sparen.

Ovdje na Prevlaci postoji impresivna zbirka povijesnih i napuštenih vojnih objekata koje se danas mogu slobodno posjetiti.
Ovdje se izgubi tek nekoliko turista i stanovnika koji se dive ljepoti i fascinaciji ovog poluotoka neposredno prije granice s Crnom Gorom.
Uvijek volimo doći ovamo na svoja putovanja po Hrvatskoj, idila i čar otkrivanja starog uvijek nas iznova grabi.
Na putu prema poluotoku Prevlaka neizbježno prolazite Konoba Gusar, domaćin je simpatičan i gostoljubiv, ovdje svakako možete uživati u hladnom pivu. Malo prije možete unajmiti SUP -ove i kanue, kao i bicikle (barem u sezoni) i tako istražiti poluotok i obalu.
Trebali biste to učiniti i planirati dovoljno vremena za sebe, šteta je za kratak prekid, jer ovdje ima mnogo toga za otkriti.
Cijeli je poluotok pun starih zgrada, na rtu se nalazi tvrđava i nekoliko velikih heliodromi.
Mnoge staze se lako voze, neke su potpuno obrasle. Ovdje je priroda već puno vratila.
Ali mi vam preporučujemo; samo istražite poluotok i usput još uvijek možete pronaći ovu predmemoriju.
Sada za predmemoriju:
Odabrali smo ovu zgradu jer smo se jako zabavili istražujući je i ovdje ima mnogo toga za otkriti.
Iz sigurnosnih razloga nismo skrivali predmemoriju u zgradi, već ispred nje.
