Phill’s Trail is probably the first mountain biking trail you’ll hear of when arriving in Central Oregon. This is one of the most popular mountain biking trailheads in the Pacific Northwest, featuring trails of varying difficulty, including Ben’s, Marvin’s Garden, and Kent’s. This area has a small parking area and a toilet. Like most places in Bend, dogs are also welcome.
Artwork: The “Flaming Chicken” at the trail intersection near this cache pays homage to “Phoenix Rising” by Frank Boyden, featured in the roundabout installation at Galveston Ave., and 14th St. in Bend.
The small geocache hidden near Phil's Trail is part of the Bend Arts, Culture and Adventure GeoTour. There is an info card inside the container which contains the BACA GeoTour Secret Code needed to complete the GeoTour passport and collect a trackable GeoTour coin. BACA GeoTour Passports can be picked up at The Bulletin, 320 SW Upper Terrace Dr, Suite #200 Bend, Oregon, or at participating sponsor locations. Visit www.bendbulletin.com/geocache for more information.
