Deze cache start in het water op punt (A): N 52°39.960 E 005°37.513. De bedoeling is dat je vanuit (A) de locatie van twee scheepswrakken (B) en (C) vindt.

Voordat het schip strandde voeren de schippers vanuit (A) een koers op 357,4 graden naar (B) en vanuit (A) een koers op 73,2 graden naar (C). Helaas wisten de schippers niet meer hoe lang ze gevaren hadden. Het is mogelijk dat ze 286,2 m of 477,5 m hebben gevaren. Maar welke afstand bij welk wrak hoort ...

Om de cache te kunnen loggen is het nodig de “wrakkentegels” te vinden:

• Tegel wrak (B): N 52°40.[ _ _ _ _ ] E 005°37.[ _ _ _ _ ]
• Tegel wrak (C): N 52°40.[ _ _ _ _ ] E 005°37.[ _ _ _ _ ]

Vanuit het gegeven dat er twee afstanden zijn en twee hoeken wordt duidelijk dat er vier mogelijke locaties zijn voor de twee wrakkentegels (B) en (C). In theorie zou u dus minimaal 1 locatie moeten checken. De vier locaties kunnen worden berekend met de bekende geocache apps door middel van intersectie.

Wanneer u de locaties (B) en (C) gevonden heeft kan op basis van locatie (A), (B), en (C) de locatie van het derde wrak (D) worden berekend. De afstand van de punten (A), (B) en (C) tot punt (D) bedraagt namelijk 337,2 m (A), 183,3 m (B), en 308,7 m (C).

The Zuiderzee has been navigated by many fishing vessels, warships, and ships of trade and transport for centuries. In this Geocache you will discover some of the shipwrecks around the former isle of Urk.

Goal is to find the position of two shipwrecks (B) and (C) starting from position (A) N 52°39.960 E 005°37.513 which is in the middle of a nice pond. The cache-container is hidden around a shipwreck at point (D). The position of point (D) can be calculated from position (A), (B) and (C).

Before the ships stranded the skippers sailed in a direction 357,4 degrees from (A) to (B), and 73,2 degrees from (A) to (C). However, the sailors forgot how long they sailed in this direction. It is possible that they sailed 286,2 m or 477,5 m but it is not clear which distance belongs to (B) or (C). This will be your challenge...

It is necessary to find the "Shipwreck tiles" in (B) and (C) to find the cache.:

Because two distances and two angles are given you will find four possible positions for two shipwrecks (B) and (C). Therefore you need to check at least one location. The four locations can be calculated using the well-known Geocache tools apps.

The position of the shipwreck in (D) can be calculated using position (A), (B) and (C). The distance between (A), (B) and (C) to point (D) is 337,2 m (A), 183,3 m (B) and 308,7 m (C).

Um den Cache zu finden, ist es notwendig, die "Schiffswrack Pflasterplatten" zu finden:

• Schiffswrack-Pflasterplatte (C): N 52°40.[ _ _ _ _ ] E 005°37.[ _ _ _ _ ]

Aus der Tatsache, dass es zwei Distanzen gibt und zwei Grad-Winkel, wird klar, daß es vier mögliche Positionen für Schiffswracks (B) und (C) gibt. Mindestens eine Position müsste man darum überprüfen. Die vier Positionen können mit der bekannte Geocache Tools berechnet werden.

Wenn Sie die Positionen (B) und (C) gefunden haben, kann mit (A), (B) und (C) die Position des Schiffswracks (D) berechnet werden. Der Abstand zwischen den Punkten (A), (B) und (C) bis zum Punkt (D) ist nämlich 337,2 m (A), 183,3 m (B) und 308,7 m (C).
