During the Golden Age of Piracy, French pirate Georges Olivier Casse, AKA “Captain G.O. Cash”, was a dominate and feared force in the Spanish Main. He was never seen nor set sail without his faithful companion, Polly. En route to safety on the Island of Tortuga, Captain Casse was captured by the British and promptly arrested.
Upon delivery to the Crown, he accepted the Royal pardon and set out as a privateer to the King. However, old habits die hard and Casse turned pirate once again, fleeing to the New World.
His ship, however, became lost in a storm and he arrived off the coast of the Americas, sailing into the St. Lawrence Seaway until eventually running aground in the Great Lakes. Casse reportedly fled on land, his ultimate fate is unknown.
Rumours spread that Casse’s loyal companion still protects the Captain’s lost golden treasure, even in death.
Your first task, mates, will be to locate the only known clue as to the whereabouts of that golden treasure and it’s protector. Casse was known to carry a small pouch marked with the British ensign, provided to him after accepting the Royal pardon. If it exists, it may contain a hint to further your journey.
The real question remains...can ye find Polly?
