Just three short blocks from Main Street there's a Forest Preserve with over three miles of hiking and woodsy recreation.
The hike to the cache is just a fraction of that distance, but you may find yourself wanting to wander further, and isn't that one of the ideas behind this hobby?
The Mill Brook Preserve, owned by the Village & Town of New Paltz has granted us permission to place this cache.
The Preserve is open from dawn until dusk.
Find a detailed Trail Map and basic rules at:
http://MillBrookPreserve.org
Sometimes, near-water parts of the trails are overgrown, but with the excellent Trail Map you can get around anything.
The trails are clearly color-blaze coded.
(If you don't know how to read trail-blazes, you might want to do a quick lookup; might save you some time and backtracking.)
There are three Trailheads in the Preserve. You can start from any of them; each provides a different experience. All three have been provided in this listing as 'Trailhead' Waypoints, but you can't park at all of them!
Your target is a 'Regular' sized container.
If there's SWAG therein, Trade Up or Trade Even!
Remember to rehide the cache as you found it.

NO SPOILER LOGS, PLEASE
If you provide revealing pictures of the hide or describe its placement in too much detail your log may be deleted, and you'll be enthusiastically invited to re-log without the spoiler.
