This is my favorite of all time hikes; before the fire, (in 2020) I came here often...even in the winter as it is low enough not to have a deep snow base. The fire broke my heart, yet I find the landscape strangely beautiful now that the fire has burned through. The old trail is now open and ready for visitors with care clear through to Wildcat Falls!
This cache is located right at the beginning of the old Siouxon Creek trailhead. Of course with the 2020 fire there are no signs to advise you of this, and there is a steele gate at the brginning of NFR 5701 you will have to walk 4miles from the gate to the cache. You can either walk on the old road or a 1.5 miles tale the trail either way will get you there!
You are looking for a bison tube.
Please follow these simple guidelines when looking for the cache:
BYOP - Bring Your Own Pen - putting a pen or pencil in a cahe tends to punch holes in the baggies and the logs get wet
Sign the log sheet - Claims without signatures will be deleted (sorry)
Carefully unscrew the bottom of the container, and then seal it back up again making sure it is all the way closed
If you do not like the posted coordinates, post your own as a note on the page to help fellow cachers!
Happy Caching!
