I have been waiting a while to hide a cache up here, and I finally got around to it. The cache is part of neighborhood history and includes fair to difficult terrain, which I will guarantee you will find fun. Also, the view will make you say, "Wow".
TrailHeads:
The trailhead of this cache is on Portofino or Longboat. If you take the trailhead on Portofino, you will encounter one of my previous hides, Hurricane Bros. The recommended trail though is the one on Longboat. The trailhead on the longboat is actually a gutter, that you will follow east to get on the trail. Another part of this cache is desert animals. Some of which include, red ants, rattlesnakes, tarantulas, and sometimes wasps. Obviously, you probably won't encounter these creatures, with the exception of red ants, but I have seen them all, at least once. The cache itself is pretty difficult, the camouflage of it is at the extreme. If you take the trail one way, and back, with good trail navigation, then the terrain should probably be rated at 3.5, but if you explore the TV, then it's a different story.
The "TV":
You will encounter the TV at the viewpoint. The "TV", well nowadays, is just a hole in an arch, but it's still pretty cool. Before though, the "TV" actually had a real TV in it. To get to the spot, you have to be agile and go slowly around the red rocks and be aware of the bluffs, then, you'll see some makeshift rock steps that will lead to inside the TV. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GO IN THE TV IF YOU ARE SICK OR INJURED, if you slip when you're while you're on the TV you can get seriously hurt.
