BASSO BREWERY

Many years ago, this site was the original bottling plant of the famous, "Basso Brewery." The name of this place was originally, "Basso Hill," but when the park district purchased the land, they changed the name. The Basso clan still get royalties, however.

Back then, way before geocaching, people came from miles around to taste my special brew, "Basso Ale #1" The park rangers knew I was up to something, but they liked the free beer, so they let me operate. I still deliver free cases to them every Saturday.

Back then, dozens of hikers could be seen sprawling on the rocks, sipping a Basso brew. If they had too much to drink, they would sometimes just slide down the rocks. I was never sure what happened to them after that; they might still be down there. If you hear some yelling, that's probably them.

Anyway, one day, the brewmaster, Cornelius Basso, put some sort of funny container in the rocks. I think it was one of those "time capsules," but now I'm not sure. Can you help me find it?
