This collection of caches has nothing to do with the Church Micro series in the UK. Given that the Australian 2016 census indicates that No Religion and Jedi Knight are the fastest increasing classifications of the optional religion question "What is the person's religion?" it is not surprising that there is surfeit of empty churches that have been repurposed.
Wesleyan Methodist church. One year after the Primitive Methodists built their new church the more upper class Wesleyan Methodists built a fine church in Cook Street. It still stands and has a façade with unusual brickwork around the window above the door and the bell cover. When the three branches of Methodists united in 1900 the Wesleyan Methodist Church became the only Methodist church in Kanmantoo. The last service was held in this building in 1956 and it is now a private residence. Walls constructed of local stone with parapet gable surmounted by base of red-brick belfry. Walls have red-brick dressings including voussoirs over arched openings. The original slate roof has been replaced with corrougated iron.
