Geocache Description:

There has been a surge in Zebra Mussel infestations in many of the lakes in the Omaha area. Big Elk Lake is a new lake in the Papillion area and already has two known infestation locations. The Papio-Missouri River NRD has hired the Guardian LLC to stem further infestation at the source inlet for the lake. This company was specifically founded to fight the ZM plague that is infesting many of the lakes throughout the United States. Of course, one of the best ways to prevent further infestation is for boaters to be sure their boats are clear of any hitchhikers before launching.

The log is on the inside of an orange pill bottle that is inside the container.

Please observe the posted park hours from 6 AM to 10 PM.
