I like the fresh taste of most well waters, but up until we got a new well at camp, I was not fond of ours. So for years I hauled water from home or bought bottled water when I shopped. We replaced the well several years ago and things are much better, but I still like some waters more than others, so I still haul water to camp given the chance.
It was not til this year, 21 years later that I found out there are several artesian wells very near camp where another staff person has filled her water bottles. Oh my land!
There are 2 parking lots here. The well is nearer to the south parking lot, just north along the shoreline. It's a small park, so it's not hard to see if you walk close to the shore.
It's a small county park, with an absolutely inviting swimming area and small beach, playground equipment, pavilion and park benches scattered around the park.
The cache could easily be walked from either parking lot, but if your time is short, choose the north parking lot. The cache itself is a smal pb jar with camo and a geocachiing sticker on it. The hint will give you are fairly clear idea of where to look. Use it as a last resort.
Jackson County parks have approved geocaches in the parks. Permission granted for this cache placement.
