This cache is a tribute to Chloe, our much loved, beautiful family dog.
Chloe died in January 2020 just shy of her 14th birthday. She was a gentle, child friendly, butterscotch-coloured Golden Retriever. Typical of the breed, she was food obsessed and a little bit nervous in her nature but she was very loving and a joy to have around. We miss her greatly.
She is buried in our backyard under a Tahitian Lime Tree (yet to bear fruit). We used to walk her all over Normanhurst until arthritis set in with old age. The cache location is in Normanhurst Park near the entrance road to the Scout Hall and we would walk her past this spot every day as we live just down the hill from here.
The cache is a small systema box with a few trinkets - dog figurine, badges, coins - and a log book and some pencils with a sharpener. There is a Slidelock S-Biner #2 as FTF prize.
UPDATE: congratulations to richary for being FTF.
