Geocache Description:

Welcome to James Peak (elev. 1466m). A peak not known by many, James is situated just off the Howe Sound Crest trail, with the true peak being only 30-ish meters away from the trail. Located in between the Lions and Mt. Harvey, this area is one of the nicest, but least travelled sections of the HSCT.

James Peak (Middle) and David Peak (Left, obscured by cloud)

Getting up: The most gratifying route to the cache is to do the entirety of the HSCT from Cypress Bowl to Porteau Cove. Done as a long (and I mean really long) day trip, or more comfortable overnighter, this is a special adventure you will remember forever. However, for those who want a shorter (but not less hard) route up, I suggest making a Loop using the Binkert trail as one of the entry/exit points and the Mt. Harvey escape trail, Mt. Harvey trail, Magnesia Meadows trail or the Mt. Brunswick Trail as the other.

The cache is a small preform container hanging from a tree about 20m SW from summit cairn. There is a little "trail" into the bushes you can take. Make sure to look at the spoiler photos!
