Welcome to David Peak (elev. 1480m). A peak not known by many, David is situated on the Howe Sound Crest trail. Located in between the Lions and Mt. Harvey, this area is one of the nicest but least travelled sections of the HSCT. David Peak is named after David Michael Wade, who was killed in his home along with his brother Thomas Wade (who Thomas peak, the bump situated in between the 2 Lions, is named after), while sleeping by a debris torrent sweeping down Alberta Creek on February 11, 1983.

Note: the black tube is the summit register and NOT the cache
Getting up: The most gratifying route to the cache is to do the entirety of the HSCT from Cypress Bowl to Porteau Cove. Done as a long (and I mean really long) day trip, or more comfortable overnighter, this is a special adventure you will remember forever. However, for those who want a shorter (but not less hard) route up, I suggest making a Loop using the Binkert trail as one of the entry/exit points and the Mt. Harvey escape trail, Mt. Harvey trail, Magnesia Meadows trail or the Mt. Brunswick Trail as the other.
The cache is a small preform container hanging from a small bush about 15 m SW from summit cairn. The trail passed right by this bush. Make sure to look at the spoiler photos!
