Croydon, this is my town, not from birth, far from it, we moved in to our dream home, our retirement home the day before Christmas Day in 2017. Since then I have discovered more and more to this area that I really love, so I'm here for a long time now, well, I hope so anyway
I am placing a series of cache in and around the area to highlight the parks, walkways and places of interest in this part of Melbourne, I hope you enjoy your visit.
Croydon History
During the late 1990s and early 2000s onwards, Croydon's housing density and type changed and increased with the advent of 'dual-occupancy'. Many former large single-dwelling blocks were sold and redeveloped. Some residents are unhappy with this trend and have more than once stated at Council meetings and in the local newspapers over the years that they are "second cousins to those in Ringwood".
