The Copeland Islands are in the Irish Sea about 2 miles off the coast of Donaghadee. The three islands are Lighthouse Island, Copeland Island and Mew Island. The islands are noted for their birdlife and they are a breeding ground for Grey Seals. Boat trips around the island can be arranged from Donaghadee.
The Cache should be approached from the stoney beach NOT from the road. Parking is available along the shore side of Warren Road and access to the beach is at the western end of the wall.
