Geocache Description:

Batty Bat is so very confused! Just the other day, he somehow arrived inside our house at the stroke of midnight!! Eek!! My mom was freeking out!! Eek!! I stayed calm and collected, managed to contain him, and then released him outside. Whew! It's not the first time he or one of his batty cousins has arrived in our house. In my recent memory one entered my bedroom and on another occasion, one of the cousin bats was in our upstairs bathroom. Oh, my goodness! Batty Bat's cousins are also very confused and batty!

I had actually gotten used to being around bats when I lived in a rural area in a mud hut in Kenya, East Africa The bats would become active just about the time the sun was setting and would swoop and dive eating the mosquitos and other insects. They never bothered me and I likewise never bothered them. Batty Bat and his cousins in Kenya were very helpful getting rid of so many mosquitos. In fact, they can consume up to 1,200 mosquitoes and other small insects every hour! In one night, they can consume 6,000-8,000 insects! Wow!

I think I now have a good plan! While I did indeed enjoy having the Batty Bats at my mud house, I don't especially care to have them hang out (ha, get the joke?) near me and my mom here in the US of A. So, I whispered in the big ears of Batty Bat that there's a particular season coming up soon, in October. I think they can get pretty occupied with all the insects at Cunningham Lake and manybe he and his crazy cousins can leave my mom and I alone!
