My love for reading and books started in elementary school. As an elementary school teacher and a parent, I have discovered so many great children’s books. Through this series, I hope you might be reminded of a favorite childhood book or maybe be intrigued enough to read a new one!
If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff. When a boy gives a cookie to a mouse, the mouse asks for a glass of milk. The story continues with the mouse requesting a straw to drink the milk, a mirror to avoid a milk mustache, etc. until he looks at the refrigerator which makes him thirsty, so the mouse asks for a glass of milk. The circle is complete when the mouse then wants a cookie to go with it.
