Geocache Description:

Western Australia is home to 26 designated lime kiln sites, of which 17 all reside within the City of Wanneroo.

This site was operational from the 1930's to 1985 and features a group of 3 kilns within an area of natural bush.

It's believed these kilns were first operated by Speirs during the depression years and included a domestic community. In later years the Menchetti family owned the kilns. They built the middle kiln in 1978 and this is likely to be the last kiln built in the Wanneroo district. Burning ceased in 1985.

Best access is via Kiln Road, however the track can be in poor condition so 2WD vehicles may wish to park at the marked waypoint. 4WD can go as far as the kilns themselves.

You are looking for a small cache. There is no need to go past any fences.
