Cache co-ordinates take you to near a kissing gate that overlooks:
A delightful wood (sometimes with a rope 'swing'), perfect for exploring or a picnic under the trees
and paddle-able river down the steep hill.
Or farmers fields at the top of Bonfire Hill Road in Crawshawbooth. These farmer's fields are the local informal ski slope and super sledging destination when the snow falls.
The route to the kissing gate up Bonfire Hill Road is a combination of tarmac road, stone/gravel path and then open fields. Bonfire Hill Road can feel like a steep climb and not wise to drive up in icy/snowy weather. The farmer's fields can get muddy too.
The way down to the river can feel a little steep for little legs or legs that need to go cautiously. It's unsuitable for a pram walk.
For those who have good balance and are daring you maybe able to carefully cross the river at the bottom.
Enjoy!
Hint: Find the 'stairway to no where' and you'll find hidden treasure in a purple plastic plentiful package.
