Spring is the best time to plant, especially after a long, wet winter. Phillip Island Urban Landcare put out the plea for help to plant plants that should already be in the ground growing, but due to COVID-19 lockdowns and a very cold, wet winter, they haven't been able to plant any. Its desperation time. Their coordinator, David Rooks, jumped at the offer to do another tree planting,CITO session. About 260 trees and shrubs need to be planted and guards put around to keep rabbits. possums and wallabies from mowing them to ground level before they have a chance to grow. Digging tools and gloves are supplied by Landcare, but if you prefer to work with your own equipment, please bring it.
