Interesting early suspension bridge built circa 1820-30 with wooden truss span suspended by double link iron chains 54 mtr's long 5 metre's wide, built as a toll bridge tolls would be paid at cottage on south side of the kale water which forms the boundary between the parishes of Eckford to E, and Crailing to W. At the moment bridge is temporarily closed to traffic but still open for pedestrians and cyclists.
