The Igloo was originally a fiberglaas dome used as a skiers shelter. Eventually an A frame cabin with a wood stove was added to the front of the igloo. In 2021 a modern rodent proof cabin was built by the Friends of the Rossland Range and the old cabin removed. There is an outhouse.
A vehicle with good ground clearance is helpfull to access the summer parking area. There is a new hiking trail up to the cabin. During the winter, there should be a ski/snowshoe trail from the highway parking area. This cache is about 60-70 meters before the cabin and is located a few meters off the trail.
