This is a quick 2 stage multi at the Hauser Dam recreation site, which is open during certain daylight hours (10:00 am - 6:00 pm for sure) 7 days a week. Looking for this cache is NOT recommended in wet or snowy conditions. The final container was a giveaway prize I got for attending GC8M918.
Stage 1
At the posted coordinates you will see a couple of signs about the current hydroelectric dam and when the original dam broke.
FINAL COORDINATES: N 46° 46.ABC W 111° 53.DEF
Welcome to the Hauser Hydroelectric Dam
B = "Dam length is 7_0 feet"
C = "Dam height is _0 feet"
"Flee for your lives -- the dam is breaking!"
A = The number of people who were killed when the dam broke.
D = Last digit in the year Samuel Hauser was born.
E = "the 70-foot-high, _30-foot-long dam."
F = "The unsupported steel gave way and a _00-foot breach suddenly developed"
Checksum: A+B+C+D+E+F=22
Stage 2
The cache is located a short distance from the posted trailhead. You can either follow a deer path straight or follow the trail to the left. To get to the trailhead, cross the dam and hang a left after the building. DO NOT attempt the final if the dam gate is closed.
The container opens from the bottom lip.
Congrats to stormchaser73 and FIRESTORMLMJ for the co-FTF!
