For your safety, do not do this geocache when it is raining. You will be navigating in an active storm drain, and judging by its size, it carries a lot of water. Also, I strongly suggest that you do this with another person; it will be safer; you can help each other gather the information you need and check each other's work.
The geocache is not at the posted coordinates. This is a 4-stage multi. All of the stages are within a .1 mile.
Except for the Starting Coordinates, there will be no GPS signal nor any data signal
The final is at:
N 34° 16.ABC W 118° 52.DEF
STAGE 2:
By using the Posted Coordinates and the Stage 2 coordinates, determine the distance in feet and the bearing from the Posted Coordinates to Stage 2. Go to Stage 2. Once you arrive at Stage 2, it should be obvious that you have arrived and what you need to do given the terrain rating. At the top, look for a word/number combination. The word starts with "C"
A = The number of letters in the word plus 2
B = The associated number minus 34
C = The number of rungs are on the ladder minus 8
The CHECKSUM for the solution is 16
STAGE 3:
Continue into the tunnel for approximately 78 pipe joints to get to STAGE 3. NOTE: Not all pipes are the same length. The joints are most visible looking up. Once you get to STAGE 3, you'll earn another half-point on the terrain rating.
Look for the number that is under the letters "SBF"
D = The second digit
E = The fourth digit
F = The first digit
The CHECKSUM for the solution is 5
Return to the posted coordinates and determine the DISTANCE to the final. There will be a TOTT within 15 feet of the geocache to help you retrieve the geocache.
After you have signed the log, replace the geocache magnetic side out, and put the TOTT back where you found it.
